Scope and Contents of the Records

This collection is comprised of original negatives, copy prints, and copy negatives created by Bill Wilson and other artists and photographers, whose works were collected by Wilson. The collection offers important documentation on a wide variety of personalities, events, and geographic locations both in Atlanta and throughout Georgia. Most of the material is captured on acetate film and color transparencies.

Scope and Contents This collection documents Darlene Roth's professional work at the History Group, Inc., the Atlanta History Center, and Darlene Roth and Associates, Inc. The bulk of papers are historical surveys and reports about the Atlanta, Georgia, metropolitan area that she completed as research assessments for corporate clients such as MARTA, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and the Atlanta Urban Design Commission. The images in the first grant documented the development of Atlanta’s rapid transit system (MARTA) from 1977- 1978, and photographs from the second grant (1979-1981) illustrate Atlanta’s role as a center of transportation.
