Scope and Contents of the Records

This collection is comprised of original negatives, copy prints, and copy negatives created by Bill Wilson and other artists and photographers, whose works were collected by Wilson. The collection offers important documentation on a wide variety of personalities, events, and geographic locations both in Atlanta and throughout Georgia. Most of the material is captured on acetate film and color transparencies.

Boutwell Hudgins's oral history and written account of the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917

Scope and Content

This collection contains an oral history recording of Boutwell Hudgins's recollection of the 1917 Great Fire of Atlanta, which he survived while he was a student at the Atlanta Technological High School. There is also a handwritten account of the event that he wrote as well as copy written by his daughter, Leckey.

Spratling family papers

This collection contains Frances' memory book from her time at Girls High School and the reunions that followed, as well as Quillian Spratling's entrance to Techonological High School diploma, his high school graduation diploma, and a certificate signifying his participation in the Reserve Officer's Training Corp (ROTC). Of particular note is a scrapbook created by Mattie Spratling (Frances' mother), detailing the history of Native Americans in Georgia.
