Scope and Contents
From the Series:
This series contains pay documents, requisitions, and special orders pertaining to soldiers in the Army of Tennessee, mainly privates enlisted in infantry and cavalry regiments raised by their home state. Additionally, there are lists of quartermaster stores and rolls of non-commissioned privates assigned on extra duty. The bulk of the records are discharge and final pay forms and requisitions for clothing, forage, quarters and fuel, and stationery. Some of the records pertain to soldiers enlisted in Confederate military units not assigned to any state.
