This collection consists of a letter written by Nathaniel Wiley Harbin to his father about the First Battle of Manassas. Harbin gives an account of the battle, where he acted as a "skirmisher," and describes the rout of the Federal army and the supplies they abandoned during their retreat. Harbin includes a casualty list for his company and writes about the capture of Federal prisoners.
