Scope and Content
This series contains materials from Austin T. Walden's work with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Materials include case files from the desegregation of schools in Georgia and South Carolina. Also included are files for the NAACP such as the organization's constitution, member lists and meeting records. Of particular note is the 1954 decision notes for Brown vs. the Board of Education as well as a copy of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
