Scope and Content
This series contains records regarding annexed municipalities within the City of Atlanta. The municipalities include Kirkwood, West End, Edgewood, Oakland, and East Lake. The Kirkwood records include council minutes (1906-1921), census (1906), tax digest, time books, payroll information, treasurer's vouchers, cash books, oaths, registration docket, balance ledger, and executive docket. The West End records include council minutes (1868-1891), census records, and city codes. Records from Edgewood and Oakland include council minutes (1899-1906, and 1895-1910, respectively). East Lake records include council minutes (1917-1927) and cash receipts.
