Scope and Content
This series includes records relating to Joseph Francis Gatins III. Records include correspondence between Gatins and his family as well as letters between his children written after his death. The series also includes four diaries written in French by Gatin’s wife, Sylvia de German-Ribon Gatins. Also included are address books, civilian identifications, marriage and death certificates, school records, French military records, newspaper clippings, and obituaries of Joseph Francis Gatins III, Sylvia de Germa-Ribon Gatins, Eglé de Villelum-Sombreuil Gatins, and others. Other files contain financial records, estate records, and government documents such as a FBI interview, INS deportation records, United States citizenship documents and research on the military service of Joseph Francis Gatins III.
