This series contains plat maps for properties in Fulton, DeKalb and Cobb counties. Among the maps are those produced by real estate firms for the purpose of advertising plots of land for sale in neighborhoods and in subdivisions within neighborhoods. Plat maps for neighborhoods and subdivisions contain information about the price of housing, terms of sale, neighborhood amenities, and in some cases, notices indicating African Americans were excluded from purchasing homes. The series also contains surveys drawn for individuals or entities who have purchased land. Most of the maps were professionally printed but some were hand drawn. The inventory for this series includes names of former and current neighborhoods and subdivisions.
