Scope and Contents
This collection contains articles, correspondence, clippings, lecture notes, and a landscape plan that provide details on Woodham's professional and personal interests in horticulture and garden history. Included in the collection are Woodham's articles for Veranda magazine, correspondence with publishers and garden writers such as Penelope Hobhouse, Sir Roy Strong, and Dr. Julia Trevelyan Oman, and lecture notes for various speaking engagements. Also a part of the collection is Augusta "Gussie" Cook's handwritten diary that describes her daily activities in rural Georgia in 1930. Of special interest is sheet music written by Nelle Womack Hines (1875-1963) and dedicated to the Peachtree Garden Club and Mrs. Robert L. Cooney in 1933.
