Scope and Contents
This series contains artwork, photographs, and maps related to the Civil War era collected by the DuBose family and fellow historian and artist, Wilbur G. Kurtz. Many of the drawings and paintings are done by Kurtz. There are original photographs of soldiers, officers, and civilians taken during and after the Civil War. The DuBose family, along with Wilbur G. Kurtz, spent decades researching the battles and military headquarters located around Georgia and throughout the South. The relics acquired were displayed in numerous exhibits and are now housed at Atlanta History Center.
