This collection contains one scrapbook that describes the social and civic activities of the club. Documents include photographs, newsletters, clippings, and one yearbook. Of note are items highlighting the club's community beautification efforts located in the Merry Hills neighborhood and the Toco Hills Shopping Center on North Druid Hills Road.

Administrative/Biographical History
The Merry Hills Garden Club of Atlanta, Georgia, was organized in 1960 for the "advancement of gardening, development of home grounds, and the furthering of community beautification." The club was governed by elected officers such as president, vice president, and treasurer. The club was a member of the DeKalb Federation of Garden Clubs and participated in the annual Decatur Christmas Show by contributing flower arrangements. The club worked to beautify the area of North Druid Hills Road, Merry Lane, and Lavista Road with shrubbery and gas lamps.
