Administrative/Biographical History
G. W. Kilgore, a resident of Walker County, Alabama, was born in 1827 and served as a private in Captain McCaskill’s Company, Howards Battalion, Confederate States Cavalry. He enlisted on December 25, 1861, and was discharged on July 17, 1862, as a result of the Conscript Act of Congress. Additional biographical information about G.W. Kilgore has not been determined.
