Administrative/Biographical History

Carl Hardaway Boone (1900-1968) was born in Newnan, Coweta County, Georgia, to Daniel Walter Boone (1873-1958) and Bea Odessa Hardaway (1876-1944). Boone attended the Georgia School of Technology and graduated with a degree in commerce in 1921. While in school, Boone was involved in the drama program and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and Phi Kappa Phi honors fraternity. Boone married Carroll Hood, and in 1942 he was drafted to fight in World War II.
