Administrative/Biographical History

Richard John Slack graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and was the head of advertising in the Southeast for Fairchild Publications, a company based in New York. He designed the advertisements and postcards for Southern Mills and Atlanta Paper Company. Mary Knox Pulliam Slack was also a graduate of the University of Missouri and worked as a free-lance advertising designer in Atlanta. She designed the brochures for Spratlin, Harrington, and Thomas Insurance Company, and Irvindale Farms Dairy. Additional biographical information has not been determined.
