Administrative/Biographical History
Pages' Grocery and Hardware Store was located in Hartwell, Georgia, the county seat of Hart County. In 1906, the town was located at the terminus of the Hartwell Railroad with connections to the Southern Railroad. It was the market town for a large farming district. The town had a cotton mill, canning factory, brick kilns, cotton seed oil mills, and several other minor concerns. The population of the district in 1900 was 3,882.
