Administrative/Biographical History

Kirkwood School was an elementary school in the Atlanta Public School system. During World War II, the children participated in various activities to help the war effort such as food and clothing rationing. After the war was over they participated in school activities. Miss Louise Byram, the 7th grade teacher, kept scrapbooks of the school news. The principal at the time was Elizabeth Silvey.
