Scope and Content
This collection consists of photocopies of letters written by A. W. Davidson, James Gunter, E. G. Davidson, Peter Terry, Mary Davidson, and John Terry from various locations in Virginia, Alabama, and Georgia. Letters were written primarily during the Civil War. Some letters are illegible.

Administrative/Biographical History
A. W. Davidson lived in Clay (DeKalb County), Alabama. He married Mary Terry, daughter of Peter Terry and sister of John T. Terry. E. G. Davidson was the brother of A.W. Davidson. John T. Terry served in Company G, 56th Georgia Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.
