Administrative/Biographical History

William Horace McEver (1916-1998) was born in Hall County, Georgia, to Lester Lee McEver (1893-1963) and Fannie Luveda McEver (1895-1986). McEver worked as an insurance broker and briefly served in the military from 1939 until 1942. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1938 and in 1950 married Emily Frances McLendon (1922-1975). They had one daughter, Magaret Anne McEver Cobb (1951-), and one son, Robert McEver (1954-).
