This collection contains a scrapbook from Rosalyn Minsk's senior year of high school that includes report cards, a graduation announcement, school programs, newspaper articles, notes from classmates and teachers, a pin and award for speed typing, and photographs of Rosalyn and her classmates.

Administrative/Biographical History

Rosalyn Gloria Minsk (1924-2010) was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Sam Minsk (1877-1950) and Flora Minsk (1882-1948), Russian immigrants. Minsk was the youngest of six siblings: Nathan Minsk (1900-1955), Fannie Minsk Shulman (1902-1991), Louis Minsk (1907-1979), Johnnie Minsk (1910-1967), and Bennie Minsk (1914-1992). She attended Crew Street School until 1936, graduated from Hoke Smith Junior High Shool in 1939, and from Commercial High School in 1942. She married Emanuel Rubin (1918-1990) in 1946 and they had two children, Ronnie Harriet Rubin Diringer (1947- ) and Edward Samuel Rubin (1950- ); and three grandchildren, Deborah Judith Diringer Grauer (1972- ), Jeremy Nathan Diringer (1975- ), and Nathaniel Rubin. Minsk was a member of Congregation Shearith Israel in Atlanta and a chapter president of World ORT (Obchestvo Remeslengo Truda, "Association for the Promotion of Skilled Trades") during the 1970s.
