Appler family papers
Scope and Content
The David William Appler papers are composed mainly of the bills and receipts of David William Appler. There are also bills and receipts of Mrs. Ida Appler Vreeland, a daughter of Mr. Appler's. Finally, there are newspaper clippings, advertisements, two checkbooks, handwritten notes, and a minimal amount of correspondence.

Administrative/Biographical History
David William Appler worked for the Central of Georgia Railroad Company in various capacities including division freight agent and general agent. He was married and one of his children, Mrs. Ida Appler Vreeland was married to Mr. A.C. Vreeland. Ema Appler Vreeland and William Appler, a nephew of Ida's, were relatives of David William Appler's. Mr. Appler lived in the City of Atlanta at 35 Baker Street. The residence was later moved to 6 East Shadowlawn Avenue. Additional biographical information about the Appler family has not been determined.
