Kenneth F. Murrah Georgia peach farm crate labels
Scope and Contents
This collection contains peach crate labels printed in color from Georgia peach farms and their growers, many of which no longer exist. Labels include company name, grower, and location. Labels depict images of peaches, farm logos, and slogans, an early form of advertisting for market and grocery shoppers. Of special interest is a label from Pearson Farm, a 5th generation peach orchard that was first planted in 1885.
