Biographical / Historical
The Rosemary Garden Club of Atlanta, Georgia, was organized in 1933 to study the culture of flowers and to encourage others to do the same. The club is governed by officers elected by members including president and vice-president. The club has hosted and participated in numerous flower shows and is actively involved with several Atlanta churches, including Druid Hills Baptist Church (later known as Church at Ponce and Highland). One of the club's largest civic projects was the installation of a rose garden and plant solarium at the Georgia Baptist Hospital (later Georgia Baptist Medical Center). The club also supported the American Red Cross, the Veterans Hospital of Atlanta, and the Milledgeville State Hospital (later Central State Hospital).
