Fannie Harling expense account books
Scope and Contents
This collection contains three expense account books kept by Harling providing details of the family expenses including food, rent, laundry, transportation, and household items. Included in the accounts are specific food items purchased as well as money donated to their church and missions.

Biographical / Historical
Frances "Fannie" Dean Williams Harling (1873-1919) was born in Campbell County, Georgia, to Augustus C. (1845-1920) and Evelyn A. Williams (1850-1930). Fannie worked as a bookkeeper for Chamberlin-Johnson-DuBose Company in Atlanta and married Edwin L. Harling (1872?-1941), a real estate broker, in 1901. The couple had two sons, Edwin L. Jr. (1908-1981) and Francis A. Harling (1911-1948) and lived at 325 Cherokee Avenue in Atlanta. The Harling family were members of the Second Baptist Church.
