Administrative/Biographical History
Hal Fitzgerald Hentz was born in 1883 in City Point, Florida. He graduated from Emory University in 1904, attended the Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris in 19908, and received a B.S. in Architecture at Columbia University in 1909. Mr Hentz came to Atlanta in 1909 and helped form the firm of Norman, Hentz & Reid. The firm changed later to Hentz, Reid & Adler, and later to Hentz, Alder & Shutze. Mr. Hentz was President of the Atlanta Area Council, and Boy Scouts of America. He married Frances Connally in 1916. He died in 1972.
