Administrative/Biographical History

The Schumann family came to Atlanta from New York in 1870. The family included pharmacist Theodore Schumann and his wife Edwine Hirzel, both immigrants from Germany and their children. They operated a pharmacy at Hunter Street and Whitehall Street in the late 19th century.
