This series contains images of Charles R. Yates' philanthropic and civic activities, family life, and business career. Most of the photographs document his involvement with the Woodruff Arts Center and the Atlanta Arts Alliance. Also included are photographs of Yates' military career in World War II, personal travel, astronaut Alan Shepard, nightclub singer Maxine Gray, and the Gatlin Brothers.
