Shaler Hillyer papers
This collection consists of correspondence from and to Shaler Hillyer. Also included is his journal, along with Captain John Freeman's estate inventory and the journals of Marian (also spelled Marion) Jean Hillyer, a descendant of Shaler Hillyer's, as a young girl documenting various trips her family took in the 1880s and 1890s.
Sharondale Garden Club scrapbooks
This collection contains scrapbooks that document the civic and social activities of the club. Scrapbooks include photographs, yearbooks, programs, and newsletters that provide details on the club's interests and projects. Of special note is a scrapbook devoted to the club's long term project of maintaining a greenspace triangle in the Garden Hills neighborhood.
Sheehan-Raines scrapbook
This collection consists of a single scrapbook that primarily contains newspaper clippings. It contains a few newspaper clippings on the Sheehan family but it mostly covers social and political news in Georgia and Paris, France.
Sheffield family papers
This collection contains speeches, a scrapbook, invitations, ribbons, and other ephemera related to Elizabeth Spalding Sheffield and her family. Of special interest is a diploma issued to her by the Winchester Junior Rifle Corps, designating her as "Marksman".
Sidney Root papers
This collection contains autobiographic and biographic materials on Sidney Root as well as transcriptions of letters and newspaper articles written by Root. Materials include the manuscripts for Root's unpublished autobiography, Memorandum of My Life and genealogy papers on the Root family. Of particular note is a manuscript of a biography of Root by Walter McElreath, one of the founders of the Atlanta Historical Society.
Simon Terrace Neighborhood Club collection
