The bulk of this collection contains color slides that document buildings, street scenes, and fire incidents in downtown Atlanta during the 1960s and 1970s. Scope and Contents of the Records
This collection is comprised of photographs of fire stations and personnel of the Atlanta Fire Department. Also included are photographs of notable fires in Atlanta during the 20th century. Most of the photographs are group portraits of fire companies taken between 1890 and 1928, and include images of fire stations number 1 through 20.
