Scope and Content This collection contains forty-three handwritten prescriptions written by sixteen Atlanta physicians. There are two prescriptions from 1891 that do not contain the prescribing physician's name. All of the prescriptions except one (1918) are handwritten. Some of the handwritten prescriptions appear to indicate a certain type of medicine prescribed for medical treatment, but most are illegible. The prescribing physicians include Dr. J. F. Scope and Contents of the Records The majority of this collection documents the professional activities of Dr. Joseph Jacobs, and his son Sinclair Jacobs as proprietors of Jacobs' Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. Among the official records of Jacobs' Pharmacy are samples of labels for products, a notebook and loose papers containing formulae for medicines and cosmetics, product catalogs, copies of Jacob's Monthly Magazine, and official correspondence. Scope and Content This collection contains seven black and white and sepia photographic prints of Jacobs' Pharmacy on Peachtree and Marietta Streets in the Five Points district of Atlanta. Included are prints of the interior and exterior of the building.

Scope and Content This collection contains photographs taken by F & L Photo Service and collected by Robert Rothberg of various downtown Atlanta buildings and businesses in the early 1930s. Notable scenes include the Alonzo F. Herndon (1858-1927) Crystal Palace barber shop on Peachtree Street, the Hurt Building, the J. P. Allen & Company department store, Chevrolet Motor Company, Moline Plow Company, King Hardware Company, and the Henry Grady Hotel.
