Scope and Content

The collection contains a scrapbook created by George H. Slappey. The scrapbook primarily includes articles he wrote for the Atlanta Constitution about the 1950 World Organization of the Teaching Profession conference. The scrapbook also contains articles from other newspapers which covered the conference as well as a detailed itinerary and news from the other international chapters of the organization.

John Holiman Lowe papers

Scope and Content

This collection contains a school book belonging to John Holiman Lowe. The book consists of numeration tables, information regarding pounds, shillings, pence, farthings, and measurements. The book served as an instructional item as well as a workbook. All the pages are handwritten, and it contains drawings at the beginning of each section. The book is handmade of burlap, lined with a newspaper dated 1811. Where the newspaper was printed is unknown.
