This collection contains a scrapbook created by Ada May Harling which includes clippings, programs, and postcards. The majority of the scrapbook highlights Harling's garden club activities with the Atkins Park Garden Club, The Garden Club of Georgia, and other Atlanta gardening clubs. The scrapbook also includes clippings about historic Georgia sites and gardens. Of special interest are photographs of the Harling's home at 1128 St. Augustine Place.

This collection contains postcards from the Southeastern United States with the majority from Georgia. Images include gardens, landscapes, residences, street scenes, parks, cemeteries, and government buildings. Postcards represent a range of styles and formats with most being in color. Of special interest are gardens, landscapes, and street scenes that document plant materials from the early 20th century.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains a draft photocopy of Bower's regional survey, "Fences in the Landscape of the Northeast Georgia Mountains" prepared while she worked as a preservation planner for the Georgia Mountains Area Planning and Development Commission (later Georgia Mountains Regional Commission). Bower's survey examines the history of fences in the southeastern states and the types of fences used in northeast Georgia.

Tullie Smith House Blacksmith Guild records

Scope and Content

This collection consists of the Tullie Smith House Blacksmith Guild records including its constitution and by-laws, correspondence, membership lists, and newsletters. Also included are information on the guild's activities, blacksmithing techniques, and construction of the forge and workshop. There is also a folder on the Artist-Blacksmith Association of North America which contains its constitution and by-laws, a newsletter, and correspondence.
