Scope and Content

This scrapbook was compiled by Lucy Belle Livengood to document her family. Included are photos from family trips to places such as Milledgeville, Stone Mountain, Mount Vernon, and Mr. and Mrs. Livengood's home in Spokane, Washington; as well as postcards from Mary Hines Gunsaulus' journey around Europe. The scrapbook also contains newspaper clippings with obituaries, interviews, and memorials to members of the Hines and McBride families.

This collection contains military records mostly from the American Revolutionary War and a little from the American Civil War. Included in this collection are discharge papers, service records, and the like mostly from the Watson and Frazier families. There is also a family Bible containing genealogical information of the Watson family.

This collection consists of correspondence and papers of Major John Nelson and Major Thomas Nelson. Included is a document signed by George Washington accepting the resignation of Captain John Nelson; an invitation by Thomas Jefferson to "Major Nelson"; a letter from John Randolph of Virginia to Mrs. John Nelson; and other records relating to their military service during the Revolutionary War.
