Hayden family papers
This collection contains scrapbooks from Julius Hayden and Evelyn Whitner, Julius' granddaughter. Julius' scrapbook contains newspaper clippings from the presidential election of 1860 as well as the first year of the American Civil War. Evelyn's scrapbook contains image clippings mostly of women, children, and animals. Also included in the collection are newspaper clippings from the 1930s and 1940s.
Jack Spalding correspondence
This collection contains correspondence of Atlanta attorney Jack J. Spalding. Included are letters to W. D. Anderson of Bibb Manufacturing Company in Macon, Georgia over the philosophy of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the New Deal. Other letters are between Spalding and Democratic National Committee Secretary Lawrence Wood Robert, Jr. Other correspondence relates to a land transaction in which he was involved.

The book covers proceedings and debates of the twenty-ninth United States Congress. Ribble pasted newspaper clippings throughout the book to document the major events of the Civil War throughout the United States.
