Scope and Content This collection consists of a list of casualties suffered by the 23rd Alabama Volunteer Infantry between May 7, 1864, and September 10, 1864, while engaged in combat at several locations in Georgia including Rocky Face Ridge, Resaca, New Hope Church, Marietta, Kennesaw Mountain, and Jonesboro. This collection contains one ledger, titled "Report of Personal Transportation," which was kept by Captain George A. Flagg, Assistant Quartermaster of the Union Army at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.
