Scope and Content This collection contains a proclamation by the Atlanta City Council announcing Monday, August 19, 1985 to be known as Limelight Day in Atlanta. Marvin S. Arrington, the president of the Atlanta City Council, and Robb Pitts, a council member, issued the proclamation in recognition of the club as a popular tourist attraction and the site of many charitable functions.
Scope and Contents of the Records This collection contains photographic images previously owned by Jeff Askew and Guy Dobbs. The first part of the collection features images of Askew's family and friends at various social functions including holiday and costume parties, from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. Photographs of Atlanta-native and actress Jane Withers, actor John Bromfield and his wife Mary Ellen Tillotson Bromfield, the Dobbs family, Billy Jones, and Dennis Machett are also included.
