Scope and Contents of the Records This collection largely contains the records of Flora Ann Bynum (1924-2006), who was a founder of the society and served as Secretary-Treasurer from 1982 to 2005. Her records include correspondence, membership and administrative records as well as records of the Society's annual meetings and Restoring Southern Gardens and Landscapes conferences. Scope and Content This collection consists of photographs documented and collected by William R. Mitchell, Jr that appeared in his books, lectures, and architectural studies. The photographs were taken in various Georgia cities including Atlanta, Savannah, Thomasville, Roswell, and Albany. The images are of residential homes and apartments, furnished interiors, historic buildings, parks, streetscapes, churches, and Edward Vason Jones's 19th Century America exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
