This collection contains Grace Hyatt’s memoirs which she composed in intervals between 1980 and 2002. It includes genealogical accounts of the Lorentzson family and several accounts of her life and that of her husband, Spurgeon. Most of these accounts are recollections of her teaching career in Brunswick, Collins, and Canton, as well as her courtship with Spurgeon.

This collection consists of genealogical information about John Wesley Stipe as well as typewritten and handwritten memoirs of his childhood, the days of his first marriage, Civil War service, and career as a Methodist Episcopal circuit pastor.
