Johnston, Stonewall Jackson, and Nathan Bedford Forrest among others. Politicians include images of President Jefferson Davis and Vice President Alexander Stephens as a young man. There is also an image of Emperor Napoleon III of France.

This collection contains research papers by Reed on electricity in Atlanta and the first gun fired in the Civil War in Atlanta. The collection also includes a letter to Reed about the history of the West End neighborhood and a sketch of Confederate General Wade Hampton.
