Scope and Content
This series contains photographs of Shutze's professional architectural work. There are photos of collaborative designs with the Fellows from his time at the American Academy in Rome. There is a large number of photos of Italian art, architecture, and landscapes collected during Shutze's travels throughout Europe. Included are photos of residential and commercial buildings commissioned for Shutze and his colleagues. There are photos of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, Emory University Hospital, and the Whitehead Memorial Room. Residences owned by May Patterson Goodrum-Abreu, both the Atlanta and Sea Island homes; Albert Thornton; Ben T. Smith; and Andrew Calhoun. Commercial buildings commissioned for Dwoskin, Rich's Department Store, Coca-Cola, and Citizens and Southern National Bank.
