These files contain many of the letters E.W.S. Neff wrote his son, Alfred. These letters provide insight into life in the 1800's as well as amusing stories about Mr. Neff's adventures "on the job."

Administrative/Biographical History

From October 1878 to about February 1880, Mr. E.W.S. Neff was working for Neff and Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. In February of 1880, Mr. Neff began a job on the Ohio and Mississippi Express Railroad. Additional biographical information about Alfred Neff has not been determined.
