Cochran and Love family photographs
Scope and Content
This collection documents members of the Cochran and Love families of Atlanta and Cobb County, Georgia. Portraits by three Atlanta photographers, William E. Lenney; Moses M. and William H. Gardner; and Edwards & Son (Jay D. Edwards and William M. Edwards) are included. Of particular interest is a carte-de-visite of United States Senator Alexander Stephens Clay (1853-1910). Clay was a tutor for the Love children and lived with the family for a year in Austell, Georgia.

Administrative/Biographical History
Elizabeth Patton "Lizzie" Love (?-1955) married Elias A. Cochran (1856-1932) on 30 November 1881. The couple had three children: Charles Opal (1882-1925); Sarah True (1884-1971); and Starling Love (1887-1955). Sarah True Love married Paul H. Huff in 1908. Additional biographical information about the Cochran and Love families has not been determined.
