Confederate officer servants passes and letter

Scope and Content This collection consists of six passes for servants of Confederate officers and one letter. Five of the passes were signed by Major General James B. McPherson, an officer of the Union. These passes permitted the servants to travel across Union lines to meet officers in the 41st and 42nd Regiments of the Georgia Volunteer Infantry.
