Adams family scrapbook

The collection is comprised of photographs of Allen Oscar Jones, including photos of his childhood, trips to Europe and Texas, Jones with friends and family, as well as class portraits. Locations depicted in the photographs include Lakewood Park, Moreland Elementary School, Little Five Points, Houston and Galveston, Texas, and unspecified locations in Europe. The bulk of the collection is from Jones’ childhood in Atlanta in the 1940s and 1950s.

DeGive family photographs

This collection contains photographs of the DeGive family of Atlanta, Georgia. Included are portraits of family members, and scrapbooks made by Henry Leon DeGive Jr. containing photographs of family and personal travels, as well as university life. The collection also includes photographs of the family's theaters, the DeGive's Opera House (corner of Forsyth and Marietta Streets) and DeGive's Grand Opera House (157 Peachtree Street).

Eliza and Waldo Jones family and genealogical papers

Eliza Jones accumulated this collection to document the genealogy of her extended families as well that of her husband, Waldo Jones. Materials include correspondence that documents her daily life and views, financial records, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and diaries. The collection also contains papers from her and Waldo Jones's extended family. Families represented include the Woolford, Grant, Slaton, Harris, Fitz-Randolph, Martin, Waldo, Winslow, Felder, and Jackson families.

Marion Wesley Ray diary transcriptions

This collection contains transcriptions of diaries written by Marion Wesley Ray in which he wrote about his family and kept daily accounts in Bethlehem, Georgia. Also included are pieces of poetry written by Ray. Of particular note is the 1905 entry in which Ray describes the death of his mother, Sarah.

Mary Ivey Campbell interview and transcript

Samuel R. Belk diary

Scope and Content

The collection contains Samuel R. Belk's diary, which contains a page of recordings for every day of 1926. One page includes a newspaper clipping which mentions Samuel Belk by name. Entries focus mostly on everyday family life and religious matters from his work as a pastor at Trinity Church in Atlanta, Georgia. There are also notes on the memoranda pages at the end of the diary consisting of names, addresses, and times of day.
