Captain James Robert McMichael Civil War diary and letters
This collection includes a typed transcription of a diary of Captain James Robert McMichael written while a prisoner-of-war. The collection also contains typed transcriptions of letters received while in prison at Fort Delaware, names of units of fellow prisoners, and their signatures, a poem by Captain Jas. R. McCallum of Knoxville, Tennessee; and a tally of Confederate officers sent from Fort Delaware on board the USS Crescent to Morris Island.

George T. Willson letter
This collection contains a letter from George T. Willson to his sister. The letter discusses the weather in Atlanta; his work escorting citizens out of Atlanta, per General Sherman's removal order; and Lincoln's chances of being re-elected president and Confederate soldiers' thoughts on the election. He also discussed Colonel Ketcham's leadership abilities and reputation in the regiment.

The Georgia State Guard document consists of General Order #18, appointing Surgeon E. J. Eldridge as Chief Surgeon of the Georgia State Guard. The order, dated December 1, 1863 was issued by command of Major General Howell Cobb, and signed by R. J. Hallett, A. A. (Acting Assistant) General.
