Deer Park Garden ephemera

Scope and Content

This collection contains items that describe the garden as well as some biographical information about William H. Davidson. Material includes a garden pamphlet written by Davidson for a home and garden tour given by the Alabama Georgia Hospital Auxiliary. Also, a newspaper clipping and letter by Davidson detail the garden and its development.

Scope and Content This collection contains copies and transcripts of two letters written by Dr. Asa W. Griggs in West Point, Georgia to his wife, Lois. The first letter, written on July 14, 1885, informs his wife that everything at home is in order and also sends his love to her and other family members. The next letter, written on March 20, 1888, informs Lois of a fire in West Point that burned from Wrights Hall to Billy Schaefer’s house. Eliza Jones accumulated this collection to document the genealogy of her extended families as well that of her husband, Waldo Jones. Materials include correspondence that documents her daily life and views, financial records, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and diaries. Families represented include the Woolford, Grant, Slaton, Harris, Fitz-Randolph, Martin, Waldo, Winslow, Felder, and Jackson families.
