This collection contains twenty-six cartes de visite of Confederate generals and politicians. Generals include Robert E. Lee, Joseph E. Johnston, Stonewall Jackson, and Nathan Bedford Forrest among others. Politicians include images of President Jefferson Davis and Vice President Alexander Stephens as a young man. There is also an image of Emperor Napoleon III of France.

This collection consists of an enlistment document declaring Curtis J. Hill's intent to enlist as a soldier in the army of the State of Georgia for a period of three years. D. C. Colley funeral invitation

The collection contains a hand written funeral invitation for Lieutenant D. C. Colley who served in Company G, 61st Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry. According to Mr. Colley's great-niece the invitation was shown door-to-door on a silver plate by a servant.

Russell mentions that he was wounded during the fighting and his company was particularly hard hit.
