Scope and Content This collection contains a series of 24 handwritten narratives by Edom T. Moon, which document the exploits of the 35th Georgia Infantry Regiment in the Civil War. These narratives, which Moon titles "letters," were written sometime between the war's end in 1865 and his death in 1908. Materials include an Atlanta Craftsman Interiors' order form filled out by Lucy Sotto for repair on a barbershop chair; a cardboard advertisement for Belmont barber chairs and an advertisement for Williams Tonsorial Shaving Soap; and business cards for Eli's Barber Shop, The Trim Shop, and Atlanta Craftsman Interiors. The Elijah Alexander Brown, Sr. papers primarily document the operation of Brownwood, the Brown family farm in Gordon County, Georgia. Much of the correspondence is from Elijah's father and mother. A few are letters to Elijah's father and one is to Elijah's brother, George Marion Brown. The legal documents contained in this collection mostly deal with Brownwood, as do the invoices and receipts. Finally, there are Brownwood Farm records and an illustrated storybook.
