This collection contains research materials from the Early Edgewood-Candler Park BiRacial History Project. Materials document the history of African American residents in the Edgewood-Candler Park area, such as deeds, city directories, neighborhood histories, and maps. Of particular note are theses written by Georgia State University students and papers about the neighborhood written by the project's founder, Amy Meyer Burns, about the neighborhood.

Greene-Hopkins-Wadkins Land Grants
This collection contains three land grants for land lots 230, 231, and 244, adjoining properties in the 17th District in Henry County, Georgia (later Fulton County, Georgia). Lot 231 was registered by Alston H. Greene of DeKalb County, Georgia in 1833 and had an irregular lottery size of 183 acres. Lot 230 was registered by John Hopkins of Emmanual County, Georgia in 1823, and lot 244 was registered by Barnett R. Wadkins of Franklin County, Georgia in 1823.
Hattie Orr property documents

Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention letter and deeds
The collection contains a letter from the Smathers and Morgan law office to the Home Mission Board discussing the purchase of a school in Clyde, North Carolina, on the "Robinson Property." It also contains the deed of the new property as well as the deed of another property, which the letter states is not properly probated.
