World War II memorabilia

Scope and Content

This collection consist of seven patriotic envelopes and two editions of Guinea Gold, Australian Edition dating May 16, 1945 and August 10, 1945. The two papers were newspapers for soldiers in camp. Six of the seven envelopes were mailed to Edward V. Sachtleben of Newark, New Jersey.

Wright Bryan World War II papers

This collection contains documents pertaining to Bryan's reporting on the Allied invasion of Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944. Materials include correspondence concerning his placements in the European theater of World War II, as well as newspaper clippings from the day of the invasion. Also included are personal documents such as an address book and notes. Of particular note is Bryan's contract with the United States Army, which authorized him to become a war correspondent.
