This collection contains one ledger, titled "Report of Personal Transportation," which was kept by Captain George A. Flagg, Assistant Quartermaster of the Union Army at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The ledger contains the date and the number of the order, the name of the soldier traveling, destination, who ordered the travel, and any remarks.
Captain James Robert McMichael Civil War diary and letters
This collection includes a typed transcription of a diary of Captain James Robert McMichael written while a prisoner-of-war. The collection also contains typed transcriptions of letters received while in prison at Fort Delaware, names of units of fellow prisoners, and their signatures, a poem by Captain Jas. R. McCallum of Knoxville, Tennessee; and a tally of Confederate officers sent from Fort Delaware on board the USS Crescent to Morris Island.

Also a part of the collection is a copy of Carl J. Weinmeister's 1874 naturalization papers, which he signed at the Fulton Superior Court in Atlanta as part of his United States citizenship application.
Carl Mills letters to James Darsey
This collection consists of letters written by Carl Mills and sent to James Darsey. The letters track the trajectory of their relationship, beginning with their courtship and ending with their ambiguous reconciliation years later. Mills primarily wrote about his travels across California and his love for Darsey, but he also commented on how political hostility affected romantic relationships within gay and lesbian couples.
